Hazardous Waste Labels

Because hazardous waste transporters move regulated wastes on public roads, highways, rails, and waterways, EPA and the U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) jointly developed the hazardous waste transporter regulations.

A transporter of hazardous waste is subject to several regulations under RCRA, outlined in Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) part 263 including proper labeling of containers used to store and transport hazardous waste.

Reliance is a leading manufacturer of pinfeed waste labels for the correct marking of hazardous, non-hazardous, non-RCRA and universal waste containers. Our labels are compliant with EPA and DOT regulations. We use a PVC-free poly facestock for extended use outdoor applications.

Examples of hazardous wastes that are not covered by RCRA include: Non-RCRA regulated commercial solid waste, electronic wastes (recycled computers, cell phones, electronic devices) and household hazardous wastes.

Universal Waste Labels

Universal Waste Labels

Universal Waste Labels are used by waste accumulators for waste that is generated across many industries, but is still considered hazardous.  Universal waste can include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment, some light bulbs and ballasts, CRT's and mercury thermostats.

Marking a container of waste with a Universal Waste label is vital in keeping your business compliant with hazmat and hazwaste regulations. Universal Waste Labels from Reliance will help identify these waste products from other hazardous waste that needs their own specific disposal methods.

Shipping Forms

Shipping Forms

Federal regulations require generators and transporters of hazardous waste and owners or operators of hazardous waste treatment, storage, or disposal facilities (TSDFs) to use the uniform hazardous waste manifest (EPA Form 8700-22) and, if necessary, the continuation sheet (EPA Form 8700-22A) for both interstate and intrastate transportation.

Reliance Label Solutions provides both forms, plus the Non-Hazardous Waste Manifest (EPA Form 8700-XX).  See Specifications for a link to instructions to complete these forms
